Mountain View, Calif. -- Pinnacle Systems, Inc. announced that as part of the company's restructuring, Scott Martin has joined Pinnacle as Senior VP of Human Resources and Legal, and has been appointed corporate secretary. In addition to his worldwide human resources and legal responsibilities, Scott Martin will also be serving as compliance officer for corporate governance matters.

Most recently, Scott served as Vice President for the Charles Schwab Technology Human Resource Organization, which supported over 2,000 employees. Prior to that, Scott served as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary of DIRECTV Broadband, Inc., formerly Telocity, where he exercised executive responsibility for the human resource, legal, corporate secretary, corporate and employee communication and facilities functions. Earlier, Scott Martin held a variety of positions including Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary at Van Kampen Investments, Inc. Scott is a graduate of the University of Illinois Law School.
