Ridgefield Park, N.J. -- Mellon Financial Corporation's Human Resources & Investor Solutions (HR&IS) has been selected by the Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund (OP&F) to provide consulting services for its defined benefit pension and retiree health care plans. HR&IS will provide actuarial valuations, an experience study, legislative presentations and other services for the pension plan, which covers more than 50,000 total participants. In addition, HR&IS will provide plan design consulting and funding projections for the retiree health plan.

OP&F is one of five state pension funds in Ohio, with assets approaching $9 billion. Created in 1965 as a result of an act passed by the Ohio General Assembly, OP&F is a multi-employer pension fund
