Workopolis is a Canadian provider of recruitment and job search solutions, while CareerBuilder.com is a U.S. recruitment resource with over 350 newspaper and association partners. Workopolis and CareerBuilder.com will feature links to one another's Web sites and sell job postings for one another's sites to their respective clients in Canada and the U.S.
The partnership agreement links two powerful media co-operatives. Workopolis is co-owned by three leading Canadian media companies: The Globe and Mail division of Bell Globemedia; Toronto Star Newspapers Ltd.; and Gesca Ltd., the newspaper publishing subsidiary of Power Corporation of Canada. CareerBuilder.com is owned by Tribune Company, Gannett and Knight Ridder in the U.S. and features jobs from the classified sections of more than 130 newspapers across the U.S.
