Chicago, Ill. – Cinergy Services, Inc., a service company subsidiary of Cinergy Corporation (NYSE: CIN), has entered into a three-year agreement with Aon Consulting’s Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO), part of Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC). The agreement specifies that Aon HRO will provide enterprise-wide services related to employment and staffing outsourcing for the vast majority of Cinergy’s hiring needs.
The move to a centralized staffing function gives Cinergy the ability to offer its internal and external stakeholders a model that leverages best practices for the full range of employee sourcing and selection activities.
“Cinergy’s objective in this engagement is to use external resources to broaden the quality of the pool of applicants for our staffing needs,” stated Steve Allen, general manager, organization development and staffing strategies at Cinergy. “Additionally, we will be able to redirect internal staffing resources to more strategic, value-added roles and responsibilities.”
“Aon HRO helps companies achieve superior, tangible business results by enhancing the performance of their human resources. More effective human capital is the essential ingredient for companies in achieving competitive advantage. We are thrilled that Cinergy shares this vision and has given us the opportunity to work with them in enhancing their hiring processes,” said Gary
Budzinski, president, Aon HRO.
Cinergy selected Aon for a variety of reasons, including deep expertise in employment outsourcing; centralized shared-service centers for employment; responsiveness to key stakeholders; and an enterprise governance model that will help the organization facilitate change.
