St. Paul, Minn. -- CHS has named Tom Traub vice president, Human Resources. Traub brings with him more than 16 years of experience in the area of human resources including leadership roles with International Home Foods, Grist Mill Company and General Mills.
"Tom…will enable CHS to provide unified human resources services across all areas of the company, helping each area to meet its business goals," said John Johnson, CHS President and Chief Executive Officer.
As a partner to all CHS business units, Traub will work to implement progressive programs for change and development, and grow organizational talent. He will develop, direct, and evaluate HR policies, objectives, and initiatives, and establish "best practice" processes at CHS. In addition, Traub and his team will be responsible for organizational design and development, staffing, benefits strategy, labor/employee relations, compensation/rewards and compliance policies and procedures. CHS employs more than 6,000 people in 29 states.
Most recently, Traub was Vice President of Human Resources for NCS Pearson, formerly National Computer Systems (NCS). At NCS Pearson, he was responsible for developing and implementing strategic Human Resources plans reflective of the company's business plan; developing and implementing a talent management process; and improving the customer service focus of the company's HR group.
Traub holds a masters degree in Industrial Relations from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, and is certified as a Senior HR Professional by the Society for Human Resources Management.
