ADP Canada Employer Services acquires Groupe AST

Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. -- ADP Canada Employer Services (ADP), Canada's largest provider of outsourced employer services, announced its acquisition of Groupe AST, a Montreal-based company specializing in occupational health and safety-related services with 176 employees and more than 13,000 customers. The companies affiliated with Groupe AST included in this acquisition are FHS - Focus on Health and Safety Inc., AST Assurances Inc., Solutions OptimiSST Inc. and Groupe AGI Inc. With this acquisition, ADP's client base grows to over 50,000 organizations across Canada. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

"Groupe AST's services and talented team complement our offering and accelerate our overall growth strategy."

Groupe AST and its affiliated companies will continue to provide occupational health and safety-related services to companies of all sizes and sectors, as well as introduce ADP's payroll, HR, time and labour management, comprehensive outsourcing and consulting services to its customers. Groupe AST and its affiliated companies offer products and services in health and safety, training services, human resources, insurance, tax recovery and operational improvements. A typical mandate for Groupe AST would be to assist a customer to make improvements in the area of occupational health and safety, thereby dramatically reducing costs.
