SafeNet appoints Vice President of Human Resources

Baltimore, Md. -- SafeNet appointed L. Thomas Van Huben as Vice President, Human Resources, leading all aspects of the Company's human resources business practices worldwide.

"As we grow into a truly global organization with so many areas of expertise, it is crucial that we retain and recruit talented, experienced people for SafeNet. I know that with Tom leading our human resources program, SafeNet will continue to excel in the security industry with a large group of experienced individuals who will help us meet company goals and carry on the mission of SafeNet," said Anthony Caputo, Chairman, and CEO of SafeNet.

As Vice President of Human Resources for SafeNet, Mr. Van Huben will be responsible for all Human Resources business practices worldwide, including talent acquisition and retention, training and development, compensation, performance management, employee relations, benefits, and human resources policies. His goal will be to help the company establish an infrastructure that will scale for future growth, both organically and through additional mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Van Huben brings over 20 years in senior-level human resources experience, including organization development, compensation, performance management, senior management consulting, multinational management, mergers and acquisitions, and high-volume staffing. Prior to joining SafeNet, he was Vice President of Human Resources for Giganet, Inc., where he helped build the company and assist in its successful sale to Emulex Corporation--he then stayed on to assist in the integration work. Prior to Giganet, he spent 6 years at Avid Technology, Inc. where he was instrumental in the company's rapid growth from 500 to 2000 employees in four years, including several acquisitions.
