Nashua, N.H. -- The Human Resources Outsourcing Association (HROA), a non-profit association dedicated to promoting professionalism in, and best practices of, human resources outsourcing, has founded the Recruitment Process Outsourcing Alliance (RPO Alliance) as a specialty interest group within the HROA.
“The HROA’s membership, both providers and buyers, has articulated the need for a vendor-neutral source of information related to the outsourcing of the recruitment function,” says Glenn Davidson, Chair of the HROA. “By establishing the RPO Alliance within the well-established framework of the HROA, we are extending the fulfillment of the HROA’s mission into one of the fastest growing verticals of human resources outsourcing.”
A number of leading RPO industry providers are already members of the HROA, and they extend an opportunity for other companies and individuals interested in RPO to join the HROA’s RPO Alliance. The RPO Alliance’s founding leadership currently includes RPO providers Hyrian and Pinstripe, as well as RPO leaders from Accenture HR Services, Aon and Convergys.
“It’s truly exciting to see so many RPO industry leaders come together to form the HROA’s RPO Alliance and work together to advance the state of this rapidly growing industry,” says Jason Berkowitz, interim chair of the RPO Alliance. “The RPO Alliance benefits all RPO industry stakeholder including both buyers and providers. At the outset, the RPO Alliance’s focus will be to develop tools and analytics to make the evaluation, purchase and deployment of RPO easier and more successful.”
The RPO Alliance’s founding leadership team has set a number of near-term objectives, including developing self-evaluation tools for companies considering an outsourced recruiting strategy, RFI and RFP templates, standardized definitions for what constitutes RPO and it’s many different types of implementations, and educational outreach to recruitment professionals interested in better understanding RPO.
