Phoenix -- Hypercom Corporation announced the appointment of Diane M. Handley as Vice President of Global Human Resources. Ms. Handley will be directly responsible for managing and directing the corporation's global human resource function.
Ms. Handley had been serving as Manager of Compensation and Training. She reports directly to Hypercom CEO William Keiper.
"Diane's proven leadership and extensive knowledge of HR make her the perfect choice for this key position," said Mr. Keiper. Ms. Handley has over 20 years of business experience in human resource management working with companies in the financial, retail, healthcare, transportation, and public utility sectors.
Immediately prior to joining Hypercom in March 2004, Ms. Handley was Manager of Pension Plans at CSX Corporation. Prior to this, Ms. Handley served as Compensation Consultant at Pinnacle West Capital Corporation. Additionally, as Director of Human Resources at Vanguard Health Systems, Ms. Handley directed significant workforce planning and human resources initiatives and was instrumental in an array of activities including incentive pay programs, employee relations, recruitment and performance management.
Ms. Handley formerly served as HR Consultant/Retirement Plans Specialist at the international management-consulting firm of Watson Wyatt and held HR positions with First Union Corporation and the Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to her responsibilities at Hypercom, Ms. Handley teaches human resource management at the Graduate School, Ottawa University in Phoenix and at Webster University, Luke AFB. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the International Society of Performance Improvement.
Her appointment is effective immediately.
